I was editor of TypoGraphic for ten years and it was only with the last issue that allowed myself to design it. In fact, because the theme was ‘Advertising and Typography’ I invited Paul Bedford (see: https://paulbelford.com ) the most innovative typographic designer working in advertising to design the issue but he preferred we share the task. We printed the text on the blue reverse side of reject hoarding posters interspersed with high gloss paper on which colour images were printed. It was printed by Simmons in Chelmsford, under the direction of Nigel Bullen-Bell, and won a D&AD Award.
