Ian Hay: A Life Drawing

Ian Hay had been a student at Colchester School of Art in the 1950s and then in the painting school at the Royal College of Art in the 1960s – just as Pop Art was erupting. Ian became a celebrated and much-loved ​‘local’ artist, and a popular tutor at Colchester School of Art for much of his life. This comprehensive retrospective exhibition; A Life Drawing, was built around his drawings and sketchbooks played a prominent role.
